USCA SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior who plans to become a school counselor or a public education teacher for grades K-12. The applicant must submit SAT or ACT scores, an official high school transcript, two letters of recommendation, a photograph, and an essay on a school counselor who has been a positive influence. The letters of recommendation may not be written by a relative or by the school counselor that the essay is written about. All materials must be submitted online.
Amount: $1,000.00 ($500.00 to the student and $500.00 to the nominated counselor)

UTAH CTE SCHOLARSHIPS & TUITION AWARDS
Criteria: This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are outstanding in the area of Career & Technical Education and are planning to obtain CTE training after high school. Applicants must be legal U.S. resident citizens. Most colleges require a cumulative GPA above 3.0. Student must fill out the application, include high school transcripts highlighting all CTE courses completed and have two letters of recommendation. One letter should be from a CTE teacher and one letter should be from another teacher, high school counselor, principal, or a community person who knows the student’s strengths and abilities. Applicant must include a personal data sheet and a short narrative outlining education and occupation plans. Immediate employment after completing training programs is a requirement for all potential award recipients.
Amount: One-year tuition to a specified Utah College or University

SALT LAKE COMMUNITY COLLEGE-TEACHER RECRUITMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen on track for high school graduation. Applicant must be interested in pursuing a teaching or related educational career. Student will complete an associate degree at Salt Lake Community College. Applicant must apply and be accepted to Salt Lake Community College and submit the scholarship application by the deadline. The application must include a high school transcript, a copy of ACT scores or SLCC’s Accuplacer Placement Assessment, two recommendations about your potential as an educator, and a Personal statement describing why you want to go into teaching and your experience relating to people with diverse background and what challenges you’ve encountered or may encounter in furthering your educational/career goals. Applicant must apply for FAFSA. This scholarship supports students of diverse backgrounds.
Amount: Tuition and $500.00 per year towards fees, books and required supplies. Scholarship is renewable for a second year.

TERREL H. BELL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior, or junior student who will have completed requirements for early graduation, planning to pursue a degree in education. Awards are based on high school grade point average, ACT or SAT scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience and an explanatory essay. The student will be required to complete an educator preparation program and teach in Utah public schools for a term equal to the number of years for which the loan was received
Amount: Waiver of tuition at the Utah public institutions for up to eight semesters.
Deadline: March 31 is the deadline for Southern Utah University. May 10 is the deadline for Utah Valley University. August 9 is the deadline for Snow College.
