Test Dates /Registration Some colleges require your ACT score to be sent directly from ACT. They do not accept ACT scores from your high school transcript. When you sign up for the ACT, please request that your scores be sent directly to the colleges you are considering attending. You can also contact ACT directly and request that your scores be sent to specific colleges. However, this will require a processing fee. |

Key Facts
English
The English section consists of 75 questions and a 45-minute time limit. Topics covered include correct sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation.
Math
The math section consists of 60 questions and a 60-minute time limit. Topics covered include pre-algebra as well as elementary and intermediate, algebra geometry (both plane and coordinate) and elementary trigonometry.
Reading
The reading portion of the ACT is structured around your level of comprehension. You read several passages and answer 40 multiple-choice questions in a 35-minute time period. Some key skills are the ability to summarize information and interpret or analyze what you're being asked in the reading.
Science
The science portion of the ACT is 35 minutes long with 40 questions. Key skills are reading, comparing information, looking at graphs, and making reasoned decisions based from data.
