Mathematics Scholarships
NATIONAL SPACE CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Applicant must be a senior in high school who is a U/S/ citizen with plans to pursue a
career in the STEM Fields. Applicant must turn in the application, a high school
transcript, two letters of recommendation, a statement of intent and upload a video, of up to three minutes, on why they are inspired by space. If chosen as one of the finalists a live audition will be held via video conference in January of 2021. The recipient must be available to speak at the 2021 Goddard Memorial Dinner and travel and lodging will be provided to the recipient and one guest.

M3CHALLENGE – MOODY’S MEGA MATH CHALLENGE
Criteria: Must be a junior or a senior to participate. Two teams are allowed per school. Each team must be made up of three to five students and one teacher-coach. Each team must submit a solution to the open-ended modeling problem. No help may be obtained for this challenge.
Amount: $1,000.00 to $20,000.00
Deadline: March 1 by 11:00 p.m. EST. The Challenge Weekend is from Friday, February 26 at 6:00 a.m. EST to Monday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. EST.

FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS – UNIVERSITY OF UTAH
Criteria: Applicant must be admitted to the University of Utah as a freshman degree-seeking student majoring in biology, chemistry, math or physics to be awarded this scholarship. Applicant must complete the application, write a one-page letter/essay expressing their interest in math and/or science and their career goals, and include an official high school transcript, including their second semester, senior year classes. Applicant must have letters of recommendation from two science and/or math teachers sent directly from the teacher to the College of Science. The University recommendation forms are NOT accepted.

JOSEPH JAMES MORELLI SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Criteria: Applicant must be a senior in high school who has a demonstrated learning challenge (disability) of dyslexia with plans to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM). Applicant will need a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or other school personnel, a high school transcript, and documentation such as a 504 or IEP or letter from a teacher or counselor. Applicant must follow the application instructions on the website. All applications must be submitted via SM apply.
Amount: $500.00 - $2,500.00

SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY – S-STEM SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Applicant must be a senior in high school who will be attending Southern Utah University in the fall of 2021. Applicant must have a demonstrated academic talent and a demonstrated financial need and will be majoring in the fields of Biology/Zoology/Botany, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, or Mathematics. Preference will be given to first-generation college graduates, minority students, and other students with financial need.
