SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY RED RIOT OVERNIGHTS
Criteria: Southern Utah University Overnight allows high school students to experience life at SUU. Students arrive on the Southern Utah University campus where they will be paired with a SUU student. Participants will learn about classes and scholarships, eat with students, stay overnight and attend a SUU activity. Dates are October 21 - 22, 2022, November 18 - 19, 2022, December 2 - 3, 2022, January 20 -21, 2023, February 3 - 4, 2023, February 17 - 18, 2023, and March 31 – April 1, 2023. Apply on-line. WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS DANFORTH SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a senior graduating in 2022 with plans to attend Washington University in St. Louis. Applicant must have personal integrity, selflessness, a commitment to community, and a dedication to leadership and academic excellence. Applicant must apply for admission and fill out the scholarship application. The application requires a written answer to a question, a short essay, and three letters of recommendation. The university will pay for finalists’ roundtrip expenses and their expenses in St. Louis during this four day visit.

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior graduating in 2023 with a minimum 3.5 GPA. A personal portfolio including two sealed letters of recommendation must be submitted with the application. Applicant should be a well-rounded student who has strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in team environments, and displays enthusiasm for Utah State. Applicant must agree to attend USU the entire 2023-2024 academic year before requesting a hold on the scholarship. JOHN F. KENNEDY PROFILE IN COURAGE ESSAY CONTEST
Criteria: Applicant must be in grades 9-12. To enter the contest, the student must write an original and creative essay of between 700 and 1,000 words that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage. The essay must describe and analyze an act of political courage by a United States elected official that occurred while serving during 1917 or after. Essay must include a bibliography of a least five sources including a non-internet source.

Criteria: Applicant must be admitted to Utah State University by February 1, 2022. To apply the applicant will go the CNR website and click on the Quinney scholarship. Applicant must write a description of approximately 400 words of why they are interested in attending the College of Natural Resources at Utah State University and what they hope to do with their degree. The applicant must include a resume, an unofficial transcript, a copy of their ACT/SAT scores, two letters of reference, and a single spaced two- page essay describing an environmental issue that is important to them in their state or region, including the reasons they chose the topic. How is current science changing the management of natural resources? Choose one example to discuss in some detail, and explain how you hope to make a contribution to the management of natural resources in the future. Criteria: This program provides an opportunity for U.S. high school graduates who will complete U.S. School studies in January or June prior to departure and who desire to spend a 13th year abroad experiencing a foreign exchange experience. This is a “Young Adult” program that seeks to enroll students who have demonstrated maturity and responsibility. Applicants must be at least 18 and no more than 19 years of age by July 1. THE COOLIDGE SCHOLARSHIP FOR AMERICA
Criteria: Applicant must be a junior in high school who plans to enroll in an accredited college or
university for the fall of 2022. Applicant must be a U. S. citizen or legal permanent
resident. All applications need to be completed online. Applicants are required to read President Coolidge’s Autobiography and complete a few other reading assignments. Its best to start reading the book early to allow for time to complete the application.
Amount: Tuition, room and board and expenses for four years of undergraduate study at any
accredited American college or university. Up to 10 of the top finalists will be invited
to participate in the Finalist Interview Weekend for interviews. The interviews will be
held in Woodstock, Vermont and Historic Plymouth Notch, Vermont. The finalist and
one parent or guardian will have transportation, lodging and meals paid for to attend the
interview weekend. 100 of the top applicants will be invited to participate in the
Coolidge Senators Program. The Coolidge Senators Program includes a one-time

UTAH CTE SCHOLARSHIPS & TUITION AWARDS
Criteria: This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are outstanding in the area of Career & Technical Education and are planning to obtain CTE training after high school. Applicants must be legal U.S. resident citizens. Most colleges require a cumulative GPA above 3.0. Student must fill out the application, include high school transcripts highlighting all CTE courses completed and have two letters of recommendation. One letter should be from a CTE teacher and one letter should be from another teacher, high school counselor, principal, or a community person who knows the student’s strengths and abilities. JOHN F. KENNEDY PROFILE IN COURAGE ESSAY CONTEST
Criteria: Applicant must be in grades 9-12. To enter the contest, the student must write an original and creative essay of between 700 and 1,000 words that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage. The essay must describe and analyze an act of political courage by a United States elected official that occurred while serving during 1917 or after. Essay must include a bibliography of a least five sources including a non-internet source.

Criteria: This program provides an opportunity for U.S. high school graduates who will complete U.S. School studies in January or June prior to departure and who desire to spend a 13th year abroad experiencing a foreign exchange experience. THE COOLIDGE SCHOLARSHIP FOR AMERICA
Criteria: Applicant must be a junior in high school who plans to enroll in an accredited college or
university for the fall of 2022. Applicant must be a U. S. citizen or legal permanent
resident. All applications need to be completed online. Applicants are required to read President Coolidge’s Autobiography and complete a few other reading assignments. Its best to start reading the book early to allow for time to complete the application.
Amount: Tuition, room and board and expenses for four years of undergraduate study at any
accredited American college or university. Up to 10 of the top finalists will be invited
to participate in the Finalist Interview Weekend for interviews. The interviews will be
held in Woodstock, Vermont and Historic Plymouth Notch, Vermont. The finalist and

Criteria: This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are outstanding in the area of Career & Technical Education and are planning to obtain CTE training after high school. Applicants must be legal U.S. resident citizens. Most colleges require a cumulative GPA above 3.0. Criteria: Dependent children (including foster children, step children, and any other child for whom the individual member provides greater than 50% of his or her support) of current and retired members of unions participating in any Union-Plus program can apply for a Union Plus Scholarship. The member must have a minimum one-year union membership by May 31, 2022. Applicant must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college or recognized technical or trade school at the time the award is issued. Applicant will be evaluated according to academic ability, social awareness, financial need and appreciation of labor, and an essay. A GPA of at least 3.0 is recommended.

Student must have outstanding 4-H achievements in Leadership, Citizenship, Agriculture and/or Family Life.

NATIONAL SOCIETY DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION AMERICAN INDIANS SCHOLARSHP
Criteria: Applicant must be a Native American Indian who is a senior in high school planning to attend a college or university in the fall of 2022. Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA. The scholarship application must be accompanied by three letters of recommendation, an official high school transcript, proof of being a Native American Indian, and a letter containing family history, financial status, and educational objectives.

TOSHIBA/NSTA EXPLORAVISION AWARDS
Criteria: ExploraVision is a science competition. Entrants must be U.S. citizens currently enrolled in, and attending, school in grades K-12. Each team may have two, three, or four students and must have a Coach and an optional Mentor. The coach must be a teacher of at least one of the students on the team and the mentor must be a different person.
Amount: Varies up to $10,000.00 at maturity in a U.S. EE Savings Bond. National finalists will be
awarded an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC in June for an ExploraVision Awards weekend. Other prizes will be awarded for regional and honorable mention.
