SLCC – STUDENT AMBASSADORS PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a senior in high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA who will be
beginning college at SLCC. Applicant must be interested in the SLCC
Student Ambassador Program on Campus. Selection will be based on leadership
experience in high school and/or community activities in grades 10-12 and academic achievement.
Amount: $1,000.00 - $4,000.00

BENNINGTON YOUNG WRITERS COMPETITION
Criteria: The competition is open to students in grades 9-12. Students are invited to submit their original writing in one of the following areas: Poetry (a group of three poems), fiction (a short story or one-act play), or nonfiction (a personal or academic essay). Stories and essays must be 1,500 words or less and double-spaced.
Amount: First Place - $1,000.00 Second Place - $500.00 Third Place - $250.00. The winning entries will be published on the Bennington website. YWA semi-finalists who apply and are admitted, and attend Bennington College, will receive $10,000.00 per year for a total of $40,00.00 for four years. YWA winners who apply and are admitted, and attend Bennington College, will receive a scholarship of $15,000.00 per year for four years for a total of $60,000.00.

AAN NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH PRIZE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Criteria: The applicant must be enrolled in a secondary school (grades 9-12) in the US. The
application must represent original laboratory research as well as the original written
work of the applicant. No group projects will be accepted.
Amount: $1,000.00 for four winners. Three winners and their teachers will receive coach airfare
(up to $650.00), two nights in a hotel, $100.00 per day for up to two days for expenses,
complimentary registration, and the opportunity to present their research project at the
AAN 76th Annual Meeting in Denver C.O. One winner and their teacher will have their
coach airfare paid and will have hotel and expenses paid for three days and the
opportunity to present their work at the 2024 Child Neurology Society Annual Meeting.

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH ENGINEERING DAY 2023– SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2023
Criteria: University of Utah Engineering Day will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. MST. High School students and their parents are welcome to attend. All students must register online for the Engineering Day. Parents do not need to register. There will be special sessions about admissions, financial aid, and more. Students will have the opportunity to tour labs and facilities, learn about the latest research at the University of Utah, engage in exciting presentations and demonstrations and meet with academic advisors. Criteria: Applicant must be a senior in high school. Sullivan leaders are selected on the basis of demonstrated service, leadership, and academic achievement. Candidates for the Award are required to attend the Sullivan Leaders’ Day competition on Saturday, January 22, 2024 on the Seattle University campus. UNIVERSITY OF UTAH MODERN DANCE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS
Criteria: To enter the Modern Dance Undergraduate Program at the University of Utah and for a dance scholarship, students must submit an application and participate in an audition. Candidates for the Award are required to attend the Sullivan Leaders’ Day competition on Saturday, January 22, 2024 on the Seattle University campus. Forty-five finalists will be invited back for Sullivan Finalists’ Day on March 7 and 8, 2024. Finalists’ will give speeches, have interviews and attend a recognition banquet.

Deadline: The Seattle University Common Application for admission needs to be submitted by November 15 to be considered for this award. November 30 is the award deadline.

SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY RED RIOT OVERNIGHTS
Criteria: Southern Utah University Overnight allows high school students to experience life at SUU. Students arrive on the Southern Utah University campus where they will be paired with a SUU student. Participants will learn about classes and scholarships, eat with students, stay overnight and attend a SUU activity. Dates are November 17 - 18, 2023, January 19 - 20, 2024, February 2 - 3, 2024, March 22 - 23, 2024, and April 5 - 6, 2024. Apply on-line. Parents may participate in a customized parent information session and take a campus tour on Friday of the Overnight visit. Parent lodging is unavailable in student housing. UNIVERSITY OF UTAH MODERN DANCE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS
Criteria: To enter the Modern Dance Undergraduate Program at the University of Utah and for a dance scholarship, students must submit an application and participate in an audition. Video auditions will be accepted only rom those who are unable to attend one of the live audition dates. Students must also apply and be accepted to attend the University of Utah by April 1, 2023. A video of a 2-minute solo from phases taught by course instructors will need to be submitted.
Amount: Unspecified (There is a $50.00 processing fee due at the time of the dance audition.)

DR. JUAN ANDRADE JR. SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Must have at least one parent of Hispanic ancestry. Applicant must be enrolled, or
accepted for enrollment, as a full-time undergraduate student in the U.S. and have a
demonstrated financial need. Application needs to have a resume, a high school transcript, a picture, essays, and two letters of recommendation.
Amount: $1,000.00 for a four-year institution and $500.00 for a two-year institution
