UTAH STATE ENGINEERING STATE **JUNIORS** JUNE 20-21 AND JUNE 23-24, 2022
Criteria: Engineering State Applicant must be a current junior in high school with a minimum 3.0
GPA. Applicant must have a strong interest in math, science, or technology, and display
citizenship excellence on their scholastic record. A current high school transcript must be submitted with the application. Engineering State for 2022 is scheduled to be held June 20-21 and June 23-24, 2022. Participants in the two-day summer camp will learn about careers in engineering and technology, apply for an engineering scholarship, and make new friends. Participants will be assigned a mix of challenge sessions. Both sessions will be the same, so there is no need to attend both.
Amount: Engineering State costs $150.00 plus a $5.00 transaction fee. The cost includes all accommodations and meals. Participants with at least a 3.3 GPA may qualify for scholarships starting at $250.00.

UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY
Criteria: Applicant must be graduating from high school in 2022. For most scholarships, the applicant must be admitted to Utah Valley University and complete the Comprehensive Online scholarship application and provide the Scholarship Office (not admissions) a copy of their high school transcript which must include 1st semester/term of 12th grade and ACT Scores if applicable. Academic Merit, Leadership, Need Based and Private Donor scholarships are available. Go to the website and click on available scholarships. UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY WOLVERINE AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Applicant must be a senior in high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who is serious about their education and is planning on attending Utah Valley University fall of 2022. Applicant must submit the application, a current high school transcript, an essay, a written summary of leadership experience and a letter of recommendation by the deadline. This is a leadership and scholarship opportunity and requires a significant amount of time once selected. Student must complete 12 credits each semester and maintain at least a 2.75 each semester in the program. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age prior to the start of the program.

SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY
Criteria: Scholarships are available in many areas, including Academic (President’s, Fellow’s, Founders’, Deans’, Centurium), Leadership, Native American, Sterling Scholar, Talent, Departmental, Athletic, Terrell H. Bell Teaching Incentive, Private and Army ROTC. The criteria will vary according to the scholarship applied for. Students completing the admissions process by December 1, 2021 will be eligible for all academic scholarships. Students completing the admissions process by March 1, 2022 will be considered for scholarships. There are a limited number of President’s scholarships and they will be awarded on a first admitted basis. Scholarships will only be awarded to students attending school in person on the main campus.

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Scholarship is based on first generation, ethnicity, and a demonstrated financial need. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum 20 ACT or 940 SAT score. Students with lower scores will be considered on a case-by-case basis. No ACT/SAT scores are required for fall of 2022. Personal essays must be submitted with the application. The applicant must agree to use the scholarship in consecutive semesters, unless a deferment or leave of absence is requested.

TERREL H. BELL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior, or junior student who will have completed requirements for early graduation, planning to pursue a degree in education. Awards are based on high school grade point average, ACT or SAT scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience and an explanatory essay. The student will be required to complete an educator preparation program and teach in Utah public schools for a term equal to the number of years for which the loan was received

FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS – UNIVERSITY OF UTAH
Criteria: Applicant must be admitted to the University of Utah as a freshman degree-seeking student majoring in biology, chemistry, math or physics to be awarded this scholarship. Applicant must complete the application, write a one-page letter/essay expressing their interest in math and/or science and their career goals, and include an official high school transcript, including their second semester, senior year classes. Criteria: This scholarship is for exceptional UTAH WOMEN ONLY who will attend a college or university outside the state of Utah. Applicant must graduate from a Utah high school, have a minimum 3.8 GPA, and provide proof of acceptance to a four-year college or university located outside of the state of Utah. Applicant must have demonstrated leadership abilities and show participation in extra-curricular school activities and be involved in community affairs. Criteria: Applicant must be a qualified minority (African American, Hispanic, or Native North American, Pacific Islander). Criteria: Applicant must be African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian and be a senior in high school who is a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident. Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science (grade point average 3.0 or better) and demonstrate financial need according the FAFSA and the Student Aid Report (SAR) form. Criteria: Scholarship is awarded to children of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for The American Legion. Criteria: Applicant must be a registered, active member of a Boy Scout or Girl Scout Troop, Venturing Crew, or a Sea Scout Ship. M3CHALLENGE – MOODY’S MEGA MATH CHALLENGE
Criteria: Must be a junior or a senior to participate. Two teams are allowed per school. Each team must be made up of three to five students and one teacher-coach. Each team must submit a solution to the open-ended modeling problem. No help may be obtained for this challenge.

UTAH JAZZ SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a person of color graduating from high school in 2022 and enrolling as
a full-time student for the 2022-2023 school year in one of six Utah universities:
Brigham Young University, Southern Utah University, Weber State University, University of Utah, Utah State University and/or Utah Valley University. Preference will be given to those with a demonstrated financial need and first-generation college students. One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, coach, or mentor is required. The letter cannot come from a relative or a family member. A short video of approximately one-two minutes with the applicant responding to one of the prompts listed on the website, an unofficial, high school transcript, and financial aid information from the FAFSA application will need to be included with the application.
Amount: Utah Jazz Scholars will receive a full, four-year scholarship for the 2022-2023 school
year for one of six universities in the state of Utah which will include tuition, room and
board, books, and fees. The selected scholars will also be ambassadors for the Utah Jazz
Scholarship. They will be offered guidance and assistance in the form of mentorships, job shadowing, and internship and job placement support. They will also have opportunities to meet representatives of the Utah Jazz organization and attend annual gatherings between Utah Jazz Scholars across all universities.

Amount: One national winner will receive a college scholarship in the amount of
30,000.00, and an education technology award in the amount of 50,000.00 for their school. Four national finalists will each receive a 5,000.00 scholarship.

AKC JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and must have a completed and signed application, an official copy of their high school transcript a letter on club letterhead describing volunteer work performed for the club, and an essay between 250-500 words. The Essay must describe how you have been involved in providing education about purebred dogs with your community or your school in the past and what impact it has had if any. The scholarship is based on financial need, academic achievements and potential, and the applicant’s involvement in the fancy. Those participating in companion and performance events are encouraged to have submitted junior recognition forms. The scholarship is also based on the applicant’s participation in AKC event holding clubs as junior members or volunteers at events, or a member of a 4-H group that participates in AKC events. THE GOVERNOR’S HONORS ACADEMY
Criteria: The Governor’s Honors Academy is DESIGNED FOR CURRENT JUNIOR
STUDENTS who excel in academics, leadership, extra-curricular involvement, personal
achievement, and community service. This is a leadership conference held at Southern
Utah University in Cedar City, Utah June 10-18, 2022. To apply for the academy
students need to have a minimum 3.75 GPA, be a U.S. Citizen, submit an application,
submit a resume of activities and accomplishments, submit an official high school
transcript and the answer to the required question on the website and two – three
additional questions listed on the website written in essay form. An ACT Score isn’t
required but, it is recommended.
Amount: The cost of the 9-day academy is $1,200.00. A one-week workshop at SUU with
outstanding, dynamic speakers, activities, and an environment to “Nurture the mind”.
Participants who attend the entire Academy will receive 6 college credits and a 4-year
scholarship to Southern Utah University.

ACCESS SCHOLARSHIP FOR FEMALES – UNIVERSITY OF UTAH
Criteria: This scholarship is designed for females who will attend the University of Utah fall semester of 2022 and major in science, math or engineering. Students who are awarded this scholarship will be required to attend the seven-week University of Utah course, UGS 1430 Integrated Science during the summer of their first year at the University of Utah, which can be applied to their general education requirements. GIRLS’ LEADERSHIP WORLDWIDE (ELEANOR ROOSEVELT CENTER AT VAL-KIL)
Criteria: Applicant must be a female student between the ages of 15-17 during the duration of the program. Applicant must complete the application, including two letters of recommendation and display leadership skills and a commitment to community service and show academic and extra-curricular achievement. This is a nine-day summer workshop that focuses on self–esteem, leadership skills, and gaining knowledge through interactive workshops. The workshops provide training in public speaking, career development, and women’s history. There are usually two sessions to choose from. Scholarships are available to attend this conference. Criteria: Engineering State Applicant must be a current junior in high school with a minimum 3.0
GPA. Applicant must have a strong interest in math, science, or technology, and display

Engineering State for 2022 is scheduled to be held June 20-21 and June 23-24, 2022. UTAH JAZZ SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Criteria: Applicant must be a person of color graduating from high school in 2022 and enrolling as

THE GOVERNOR’S HONORS ACADEMY
Criteria: The Governor’s Honors Academy is DESIGNED FOR CURRENT JUNIOR
STUDENTS who excel in academics, leadership, extra-curricular involvement, personal
achievement, and community service. This is a leadership conference held at Southern
Utah University in Cedar City, Utah June 10-18, 2022. To apply for the academy
